Artist Name Dispute

Hi All,

Myspace users on the Sex-Tron 5000 contact list have recently received numerous messages from an artist listed as SX-01 (http://www.myspace.com/sx01). Most of these messages have been short spam-mail, but he has recently sent the following:
Hello,
I have been releasing music under the name Sextron-01 since 1999. I also play live under this name. I kindly explained this to the other person now using sextron-5000 but he said he would not change the name at this time. I explained we have copyright releases out since 99' and he does not care. Not sure why he would not want to come up with a unique name. I recommended he could make a simple adjustment to the name to make it sound more different by taking out the word "sex" or "tron", but again, the response was pretty much, not going to change it now. It seems like if they change the name now it would be easier since their music is not released yet.
Please look at the links below for actual releases by sextron-01:

The original meaning of sextron-01 is: "sex" which is a big part of human life "tron" for technology and the computer world we live in and "01" for computer language.

I do care. I have considered his request and recognize no artistic or legal reason to change my name. The name has sentimental value to me and I wish to keep it. I will continue to sample new names, but until I have found one I am confident with I will continue to work as Sex-Tron 5000.

I apologize for the harassing e-mails and I hope that my extended actions will help cease them.

Thank you,
Graham Bucci

Anti-Progress

I've been working on tons of shit but I can't get anything finished. I'm not satisfied with anything. This feeling sucks, and I don't know what to do about it.

Feelings always find their way home.

SILENT sessions

SILENT sessions is a project I dabbled with back in October 2009, and will now bring to life from June 2010 onwards.

The aim of the project is to record a simple, improvised song for guitar and voice each day. If possible, I will post the new song everyday(1) and at the end of each month I will release the month's collection of songs for free download.

The songs won't be amazing, but I invite you to see my song writing process at it's most minimal stages, and this is an opportunity to hear versions of songs that may appear on later Lachrymal Quietus releases.

Follow the link below to listen to the songs so far:

I always welcome feedback and other comments. I hope that you will enjoy this project and that it might last a long time.

Thank you,
Graham.

(1) If anyone knows a good file-storing website that will allow me to stream media, please let me know. Thanks!

Bored

I've been really bored lately. With bored comes a lack of motivation.

I have, however, managed to finish a bunch of new Sex-Tron 5000 songs, so visit the Facebook page to hear a few:

Tokyo

Well, Tokyo continues to be fun. Smashing drinks has made us lite, over-night celebrites around here, which is pretty hilarious.

Good times,
-Graham.

TZAMETI Update

Brendan and I have been discussing the possibility of reuniting to write some more music and play some more shows. We've been bouncing ideas back and forth, below is a sample of a song I've been working that goes in a possibly more accessible direction.

Whether this is the sound we'll work on, who knows. Let us know what you think of the new sound, or if you still love the old songs.

Thanks!
Check back occasionally,
--Graham.

Here's the sample as promised:

Project Hiatus

I hate to say it, but the Blades of Grass project is stalled indefinitely. I'm just not feeling those songs at present. I'm sure they will be revisited at some point, but at this time I would prefer to try other things.

With that said, the Whispers project is well on its way. Whispers will be a more appropriate follow up to Days of Being Aflame. I focus on ambiance with a clear influence of post rock through minimal sounds and cascading progressions.

I'll post samples as they become available.

Thank you,
Graham.

End of Holy Days

I love the holiday season 'cause I get sloppy drunk 4 times a week, work all day, all weekend, don't sleep, smoke a pack a day and blow all of my hard-earned income on this and that. I'm sad that's over, but it's time to sleep again and it's nice to have time to work on music. Still, it's not nearly enough time.

I'm working on perfecting guitar sounds before recording the new "If I'm not a Ghost..." parts, but hopefully won't take long. Another couple of weeks for that, then I can get art, etc finished and start sending copies out to all you adoring fans.

That, and these 34 tracks for the "Blades of Grass..." cd have just been sitting there since November... 2010 will be a busy year. Yay.

Do you want to hear some demos of what I'm working on? Mmmm.... I'll post something tomorrow to tease you. Check back soon.

-Graham.
